Job summary

Millard Public Schools in Omaha, NE is seeking a Middle School Production Lead for the 2026-2027 school year. This 10-month, 8-hour-per-day position assists with coordinating and managing the school’s food service program and leads staff in daily food preparation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a ServSafe certificate within 90 days of employment, and prior food handling experience; additional sanitation training is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of employment recommended.
• Omaha/Douglas County food handling sanitation training recommended.
• Prior food handling service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily food preparation and lead staff.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees.
• Coordinate, schedule, and assign work for food service staff.
• Monitor work quality and conduct performance appraisals.
• Resolve staff grievances as needed.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and yearly food service reports.
• Manage inventory and verify food/supply orders.
• Serve prepared food to students.
• Ensure cleanliness and safe operation of equipment.
