Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook to prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items for all meals and events. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen and maintain a clean workstation while following Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality and safety.

Responsibilities include following recipes, estimating production needs, and ensuring accurate prep and service. The role requires stamina, ability to stand long shifts, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving foods.
• Taste products, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts.
