Red Rabbit in New York is seeking a hands-on Chef to join our school kitchen teams across multiple locations. You'll cook scratch-made, culturally relevant meals for hundreds of students, uphold food safety, and lead with pride in presentation and service.

This role offers stable weekday hours, no nights or weekends, and holidays off. You’ll collaborate with a small team, adapt menus to reflect student needs, and help maintain accurate meal counts and daily reports using our systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong hands-on cooking skills and ability to follow recipes for consistent meals.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
• Comfort with basic software or spreadsheets to log daily information.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Culinary execution: implement recipes and create tasty, culturally relevant meals.
• Food safety & sanitation: maintain a clean, compliant kitchen and document logs.
• Meal presentation & service: plate meals attractively and serve on time.
• School community: engage with students and school staff professionally.
• Kitchen organization: track supplies, minimize waste, and record meal counts.
