Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Assistant - At Large to support daily meal prep for lunch and breakfast across multiple school sites in Highlands Ranch. You will work under the Area Manager, traveling between kitchens as needed to ensure timely service and quality meals.

The role demands good customer service, flexibility, and the ability to follow HACCP and safety standards. Benefits are available and training is provided, including ServSafe within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good community relationships with Nutrition Services staff, school staff, students and parents.
• Receive deliveries and store food and supplies; inventory food and supplies.
• Lead training for kitchen staff and complete USDA Mandatory Professional Standards training hours.
• Serve meals daily while ensuring HACCP and health department standards.
• Assist in set up/clean up of serving areas and ensure proper sanitation.
