Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is seeking an IT Technician II to provide on-site technical support for schools under district standards, reporting to the Executive Director of Technology. This 12-month, full-time role is based at Lincoln Center, with nonexempt status and a Classified salary schedule.

The candidate will install, configure, troubleshoot client devices, peripherals, room tech, and basic rack equipment, while following SLAs and central IT procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and valid NC driver’s license.
• Two years of experience and/or training with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS/iPadOS, Android.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot district PCs, peripherals, and network connectivity.
• Implement classroom and room presentation equipment setup and support.
• Operate and troubleshoot AV hardware, printers, projectors, and room audio systems.
• Process service requests and close tickets within SLAs.
• Transport equipment to sites and assist with special programs and meetings.
