Job summary

Williamsville Central School District in East Amherst, NY is seeking a Micro-Computer Support Technician (MCST) for a full-time role. The position supports Chromebooks, iPads, PCs and printers, manages inventory, and assists with district-wide technology initiatives.

Immediate starting date with a 12-month school- year commitment. The role requires basic Windows/Chrome environment knowledge, clear communication, teamwork, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Basic IT knowledge of Windows/Chrome environments.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn changes in technology and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and self-directed work habits.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the successful implementation of the District’s Technology Plan.
• Manages District Office Inventory.
• Works with other Technicians on building inventory and coordinates roll outs of new equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting of devices (Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, printers, etc)
• Resolves hardware and software problems with end users both remotely and on-site.
• Device repairs and/or warranty repairs with follow through.
• Provides support documentation for team members and training.
• Answers Technology Helpdesk, enters and updates work orders.
• Provides coverage in buildings when necessary
• Takes initiative to identify and present creative solutions for department needs
• Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
