Job summary

Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a service oriented computer professional to join our IT team as an Temporary Support Specialist at our Chatsworth and West Hills, California campuses. This non-exempt, hourly role supports students and staff, troubleshoots hardware and software, and coordinates with the Laptop Hospital Lead and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma (college degree preferred), A+ certification, and 2+ years in technical support, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Must be proactive, detail and service oriented.
• Must be a self starter and exercise patience in delivery of customer service.
• Working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft network operating systems.
• Expertise in hardware troubleshooting, upgrades and repairs.
• Working knowledge of network infrastructures and cabling.
• Working knowledge of network security issues.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in computer system imaging.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance to students and staff and resolves computer problems for end users.
• Supports the Laptop Hospital Lead and coordinates with vendors on purchases and returns.
• Responds to Help Desk requests and communicates status to users.
• Trains users in the operations of the network and software.
• Assists with department paperwork, documentation and inventories.
• Keeps technical skills up to date with evolving technology.
• Performs in-house hardware repairs and upgrades as needed.
• Imaging and configuration of computers as required.
