Job summary

SAR Academy seeks a technology support specialist to join a collaborative technology team in Riverdale, NY. This role supports teachers, students and staff in using technology, while maintaining school infrastructure and equipment.

Expect ongoing training, documentation creation and active participation in IT policy and best practices. The ideal candidate has a degree or equivalent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and interest in educational technology and systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technology work experience, preferably in education.
• Knowledge of basic networking and systems infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Mac/PC hardware and software.
• Fluency with macOS, iOS, Google Workspace, Jamf and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with switches, routers and wireless access points.

Responsibilities

• Front line help desk work handling support tickets and assisting students and staff.
• Manage devices for 1:1 iPad and 1:1 laptop programs for students and faculty.
• Support technology infrastructure including SMART panels, IP phones, printers and AV gear.
• Train faculty and students on school systems and software platforms.
• Maintain tech documentation and tutorials; support school events and meetings.
• Assist with procurement, inventory, and asset tracking; enforce IT policies.
