Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, supervisor, administrators, and school-community members.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and refinishes floors and maintains the immediate perimeter of school grounds.
• Works under limited supervision by following a frequency of task assignment and using prescribed cleaning chemicals and machinery.
• Is designated as Essential Personnel, reporting to work during emergencies, snow and ice removal.
• Removes trash and recyclables, sweeps, dust mops, vacuums, sanitizes restrooms, cleans glass and surfaces, restocks dispensers.
• Cares for cleaning equipment and materials properly and stores them securely.
• Responds to requests from administrators and staff to assist with minor maintenance, moving furniture, deliveries, and setup for functions and activities.
