Job summary

Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking hourly Custodians to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment across school facilities for the upcoming year. Duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, plus minor maintenance and supply management.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 90 days). Schedule is part-time, hourly, and may include events outside regular hours or during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning in classrooms, hallways, and restrooms daily.
• Inspects building facilities and ensures systems are operational and safe.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for cleanliness of the building.
• Assists with minor repairs and reports major problems to leadership.
• Performs duties during emergencies and outside regular hours if requested.
