Job summary

North College Hill City Schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeks a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to manage district payroll, maintain records, administer deductions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Reporting to the Treasurer/CFO, the successful candidate will oversee benefits enrollment, retirement reporting, W‑2 processing, audits, and respond to staff inquiries; an associate degree in accounting or related field and at least two years of payroll/finance experience

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' payroll, accounting, or related financial experience preferred.
• Payroll experience in public education or governmental organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and distribute district payroll for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
• Administer employee deductions and retirement reporting.
• Maintain payroll records and generate reports for audits.
• Respond to staff payroll inquiries and provide training as needed.
