Job summary

New Ventures Charter School is seeking an Assistant Dean of School Culture to join our dedicated team in New York. You will collaborate with Deans, the Principal, and the Assistant Principal to foster a safe, joyful, and equitable learning environment rooted in our core values.

The role emphasizes relationships, student support, and accountability to help every student succeed. You will implement school-wide systems, monitor behavior data, and engage families while promoting a positive classroom

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required.
At least two years of teaching experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of organizational skills; detail‑oriented in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of best practices for a school and charter standards.
Commitment to equity, inclusion and professional learning.

Responsibilities

Create and uphold a strong school culture in collaboration with Deans and Principals.
Uphold expectations through procedures and routines across the whole school.
Monitor behavior and support restorative practices.
Engage with students to promote prosocial behaviors and positive choices.
Lead restorative conversations and mediations as needed.
Respond to incidents requiring Crisis Response Team involvement.
Enforce school policies, including dress code, with fidelity.
