Job summary

DREAM Charter High School seeks an Assistant Principal of Culture to partner with the Principal in shaping school culture across our campuses. You will design and sustain culture systems, implement restorative practices, monitor data, and engage families to support student achievement and well-being.

Reporting to the Principal, you will supervise Deans of Culture and SEL/Community roles, lead professional development, and drive a cohesive approach to behavior, attendance, and school climate that

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in education or school leadership preferred.
• Minimum five years in school culture or teaching and two years in school leadership with evidence of student success.
• People management and collaborative leadership skills with coaching ability.
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving with family partnerships.
• Experience creating and maintaining sustainable school culture systems.
• Growth mindset, adaptability, and discretion in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and sustain a high-expectation school culture with student support.
• Implement and monitor a restorative discipline system aligned with DREAM policies.
• Lead the Culture Team to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavioral interventions.
• Oversee investigations of disciplinary issues with transparent records.
• Plan and lead return-from-suspension meetings with families, students, and staff.
• Supervise attendance and dress code policy implementation.
• Monitor attendance, meals, dismissal, and transitions for safety and efficiency.
• Analyze behavior and attendance data to guide interventions and school-wide planning.
• Collaborate with leadership to align with the DREAM model and initiatives.
