Job summary

Algiers Charter Schools Association seeks a Dean of Culture to foster an environment promoting social, emotional, and academic success for all students. You will collaborate with leadership, faculty, staff, students, and families to build a culture of respect, equity, and excellence.

You will lead behavior initiatives, restorative practices, and climate improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with the district’s vision and core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Education, School Leadership, or related field.
• Three to five years of teaching experience.
• Experience in school culture and behavior management.
• Strong understanding of restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to analyze data and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs to promote a positive school culture.
• Oversee student behavior and restorative practices.
• Track referrals and inform interventions.
• Observe classrooms for culture improvement opportunities.
• Ensure fair, consistent disciplinary policies aligned with mission.
• Engage with students, staff, and families to build partnerships.
• Analyze data on behavior and climate and report findings.
• Provide crisis support with counselors and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
