Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Manager of Climate and Culture to lead restorative justice practices, manage student behavior, and enhance family engagement across a diverse urban setting. The role requires strong leadership and excellent communication to foster a restorative, supportive school environment.

You will collaborate with students, staff, and families, facilitating resolving conflicts, supervising disciplinary procedures, and promoting inclusive culture policies across the campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years experience in urban school system with diverse student body.
• Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
• Familiarity with student information databases (Aspen, SIS).

Responsibilities

• Lead Circle Practice and Restorative Justice practices school-wide.
• Manage and align school culture expectations and interventions.
• Coordinate family meetings and strengthen family engagement.
• Support student behavior with de‑escalation and discipline processes.
• Provide professional development for teachers and staff on restorative practices.
• Assist with safety protocols and school hallways/grounds.
• Develop systems to measure school climate and culture improvements.
• Maintain discipline data in SIS and related databases.
• Plan and support school-wide events and after-school programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by School Leader.
