You will support scholars facing behavioral challenges, implement restorative practices, and collaborate with teachers, families, and the Mental Health Team to foster a positive learning environment.

The role emphasizes ongoing professional development, real-time coaching, and a shared mission to prepare students for success in college and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Native Spanish fluency is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for scholars who may be experiencing difficulty maintaining high standards for behavior in a classroom/school setting.
• Implement restorative justice practices to balance relationships with students and the broader community.
• Desire to learn and improve knowledge of restorative justice and restorative practices with emphasis on research-based methods.
• Be the exemplar of restorative practices and support staff in implementing them across the school.
• Adapt interventions to fit student needs and evaluate policy effectiveness.
• Communicate with families regarding scholar behavior and action plans.
• Plan for and lead Ambassador Program through daily lessons and activities supporting RJ placements.
• Collaborate with Mental Health Team to promote a positive school climate and teaching excellence.
• Maximize access to school-based and community resources.
• Uphold professional ethics and comply with state and federal law.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information.
