Job summary

Vallivue School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Supervisor to prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals while maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with state and federal guidelines. The role coordinates the work of the school kitchen and cafeteria to support student nutrition programs.

The position requires experience in food service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to supervise staff, manage inventory, and adhere to district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in cafeteria food service preferred.
• Knowledge of nutrition, sanitation, and applicable rules and policies.
• Ability to plan work schedule and supervise others.
• Ability to perform simple bookkeeping and inventory procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Understand MSDS principles and food safety compliance.
• Ability to present information clearly to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for proper storage of food items and temperatures.
• Assist in serving food to students.
• Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and tables.
• Coordinate with principals and custodians to maintain sanitary conditions.
