Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation, serving and basic kitchen activities with increasing responsibilities.
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.
• Oregon Fingerprint and Criminal Check clearance and Food Handler Permit required. -- (per district requirements)

Responsibilities

• Directs and trains food service workers to maximize efficiency and meet shift requirements.
• Oversees cafeteria operation, cleanliness, food preparation, supplies, personnel and customer service to meet students' nutritional requirements.
• Cleans and maintains utensils, equipment, and serving areas to ensure sanitary conditions.
• Assists the manager when the manager is unavailable to meet nutritional and district requirements.
• Estimates food preparation amounts to meet projected meal requirements and minimize waste.
• Inspects received food and supplies to ensure quality and compliance with health rules.
• Prepares documentation to convey information and support operations.
• Prepares and serves food and beverages to meet nutritional needs and meal quotas.
• Helps order food and supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
• Directs meal preparation in quantity and quality for all students.
• Maintains positive relations with students, staff, and the community.
• Accounts for cash transactions to maintain records.
