Job summary

Reynolds School District in Fairview, Oregon seeks an On-Call Nutrition Services Substitute to assist with meal prep, serving, and kitchen sanitation. The role requires preparing and distributing food for students and staff, and maintaining safe, sanitary kitchen conditions.

Entry is on an on-call basis with variable hours for breakfast and lunch service. Knowledge of health codes and sanitation is preferred, with a background check and Food Handlers Card required by Oregon.

Qualifications

• Prior food service/prep experience helpful.
• Knowledge/experience in operation of industrial size dishwashers helpful.
• Knowledge of modern methods of food preparation, health codes and sanitation principles.
• Abilities to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Significant physical abilities include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, talking/hearing conversations and other sounds (potential hazards), visual acuity/depth perception and visual accommodation.
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred

Responsibilities

• Food prep, food distribution for consumption by students and staff; assist in setup for breakfast or lunch.
• Wash dishes and run dishwasher to maintain safe and sanitary conditions; assist in cleaning kitchen.
• Assist other personnel as needed to support workload.
