Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in cafeteria food service as determined by the Board.
• Experience with bookkeeping/budgeting preferred.
• Knowledge of food management, nutrition, sanitation, and applicable federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy.
• Ability to plan work schedule and to supervise others.
• Ability to perform simple bookkeeping and inventory procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the day, carry heavy items.
• Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to present information to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage proper storage of food items and maintain required temperatures.
• Assist in serving meals to students.
• Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and tables.
• Coordinate with principals and custodians on sanitary conditions.
