Job summary

Summit School Services in Kansas is seeking a Bus Assistant to support safe student transportation. You will assist students with entering and exiting the bus, monitor behavior, and help keep the vehicle clean while drivers operate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements.
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students entering/exiting the bus safely.
• Seat students and secure restraints (seat belts, car seats, wheel chair restraints).
• Monitor passenger conduct and safety rules; report concerns to supervisor.
• Assist Driver in keeping interior clean and presentable; perform paperwork timely.
• Attend training, safety meetings, and in-service meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
