Job summary
Dean Transportation in Michigan is seeking a School Bus Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair buses, motor coaches, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs to OEM specifications, and ensure road readiness for district service.

Qualifications
- Meet all general qualifications for employment.
- Meet State and/or ASE licensing requirements.
- Meet State and/or Federal physical examination requirements.
- Pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Criminal history checks as required by district.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs per OEM and regulatory guidelines.
- Inspects equipment, diagnoses root causes, and completes repairs.
- Install optional accessories such as two-way radios, cameras and GPS.
- Reviews service bulletins and uses diagnostic tools.
- Procures parts and manages inventory.
- Communicates with drivers and operations staff about maintenance.
- Conducts safety inspections; assists with state inspections.
- Maintains cleanliness of the maintenance facility.
