Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a part-time vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will be responsible, punctual, and uphold safety and courtesy while driving.

Must hold a valid driver’s license, CDL with passenger endorsement for vehicles with 15+ seats, be aged 21–80, pass background and drug tests, and maintain a clean driving record. Faith alignment and regular church involvement are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; must have been licensed for the past three years.
• CDL with Passenger endorsement required for 15+ seat vehicles; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Age 21–80; additional documentation for drivers over 75 as specified.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy and yearly physician's statement for medical conditions.
• Drug/alcohol testing pre-employment and annual random tests.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle; demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
