Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and a valid CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement.

A clean driving record and the ability to pass background and drug tests are essential. Responsibilities include safe driving, maintaining bus condition, inspections, and supervising students.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• CDL license with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• Driver must have been continuously licensed for the past three years.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Annual Physician's Statement for known medical conditions as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with director.
