Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, be punctual, and demonstrate a mature Christian faith in line with LifeWise Academy's beliefs. The role is part-time and non-exempt, with required background checks and drug testing performed as part of employment requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) is required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Must have been licensed for the past three years.
• Age 21–80; those over 75 must renew CDL license and P endorsement annually.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing are required.
• Undergo physician's statement if known medical conditions exist.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
