Job summary

Beacon Mobility seeks a part-time School Bus Driver in North Reading, MA for NRT Bus, Inc. No CDL? Training is provided. If you hold a CDL Class B with P & S endorsements, training is available to obtain them.

You will safely transport students to events and school routes, perform inspections, and keep a clean bus. Weekdays only with split AM/PM shifts, paid training, and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken & written).
• Clean driving record and valid CDL Class B with P & S endorsements (or willingness to obtain — training provided).
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Drive assigned local routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

NRT Bus | North Reading, MA

No CDL? No problem. We provide paid training. Already a fully licensed CDL Driver (A or B) with P & S endorsements?

• Earn a $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus (effective March 6, 2026)
• Pay: $30.39-$36.05/hour (effective August 24, 2026)
• Paid Training: $20/hour
• Charter/Activity Trips: $27/hour
• Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school and events

Requirements

• CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements (or willingness to obtain — we train!)
• Valid DOT medical card—or able to obtain one
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check & drug screening
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)
