LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a clean driving record.

Required are a CDL with passenger endorsement, mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, active church involvement, a non-exempt hourly position, and completion of background checks, drug tests, and trainings.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• CDL driver’s license; continuously licensed for past three years
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Aged 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit CDL copy and (P) endorsement annually
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in last five years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy
• Drug/alcohol testing required (pre-employment, annual, random, post-accidents)
• Yearly Physician’s Statement for known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the bus’s cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Be aware of students who need help or are misbehaving
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the director
