Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers between homes and LifeWise sites. You must uphold safety, vehicle maintenance, and a calm, caring demeanor while enforcing rules and aiding students in boarding and exiting the bus.

Ideal candidates will hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement and preferably a school bus endorsement, with a clean five-year driving record and strong faith alignment with LifeWise beliefs.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; drivers above 75 must submit CDL and endorsement annually.
• No at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Maintains yearly physician's statement for medical conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Follow all traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Inspect the bus regularly and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting and monitor behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and volunteer in classrooms if requested.
