Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety. A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required, with school bus endorsement preferred.

Applicants must have a clean driving record, pass a background check and drug testing, and be able to work within LifeWise beliefs. The position is non-exempt and hourly.

Qualifications

• CDL driver's license with Passenger (P) endorsement; School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in the last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing as required.
• Active church involvement consistent with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Age 21–80; annual submission of CDL license copy if over 75.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel when needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in the classroom if agreed.
