Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site, ensuring safe, reliable service with a clean driving record.

Required qualifications include a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P); school bus endorsement preferred; and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing.

We value punctual, mature applicants who can supervise students, follow safety rules, and contribute to a faith-based educational program.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Commitment to LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 must renew annually.
• Must be able to supervise students and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students entering/exiting
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Be aware of students needing help or misbehaving
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the director
