Job summary

Summit School Services is hiring a Bus Assistant to support the safe and respectful transport of students. You will help riders board and exit, monitor behavior, and report issues to drivers and supervisors.

This role requires at least 18 years old, strong communication, and the ability to assist students physically when needed. Training will be provided and safety, professionalism are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to relate to and work well with children.
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy when interacting with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Seat students safely using belts, restraints or car seats as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly interior of the bus.
• Complete required paperwork and trainings.
• Attend safety meetings and in-service sessions.
