Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a per diem classroom support role to assist the Special Education Teacher in delivering effective academic and social-emotional programming for assigned students.

The role involves data collection on social-emotional and behavioral functioning, reporting, and collaboration with the classroom team. Training and safety certifications are supported as needed to maintain a therapeutic and safe school environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of data entry/management programs such as Excel.
• For those without this background upon hire, Excel training will be provided.
• Experience working with children is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Special Education Teacher with implementing academic and social-emotional programming.
• Collects and manages data on social-emotional and behavioral functioning for assigned students.
• Prepares and presents verbal and/or written reports concerning social-emotional functioning for assigned students.
• Provides academic support to students as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Attends classroom team meetings and other student-related meetings as assigned.
• Observes Bradley University Health policies, rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as required.
