Job summary

Adult & Child is seeking a School Based Support Specialist to deliver intensive outpatient case management for youth within Indianapolis-area schools. You will coordinate with families, schools, and community providers to promote recovery, resilience, and academic success.

The role emphasizes direct, individualized interventions aligned with treatment plans and flexible support across home and school environments, with focus on safety, documentation, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related human services field or equivalent combination.
• Two years of related behavioral health experience if degree is in an unrelated field.
• Experience providing one-on-one or group services focused on recovery/resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive outpatient case management in school-based settings.
• Support coping strategies, social-emotional functioning, and daily living skills.
• Coordinate care with schools, families, and providers.
• Manage caseloads, ensure timely documentation, and deliver person-centered services.
• Provide crisis intervention and follow-up, including outreach for missed appointments.
• Conduct home visits and community outreach as needed.
• Assist with quality assurance, data collection, and adherence to protocols.
• Engage in supervision and professional development.
• Adapt to evolving student needs and collaborate on program goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
