Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Independence, MO seeks a School Based Support Specialist to deliver intensive outpatient case management for youth in school settings.

You will coordinate care with families, schools, and community partners, provide crisis intervention, and maintain timely documentation. This full-time role involves school-day work with some home/community visits and ongoing professional development within our School Based Services team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in behavioral health fields as listed.
• Experience coordinating care with schools, families, and providers.
• Ability to document services clearly and timely per program standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health interventions in school-based settings.
• Support students’ coping skills and daily life functioning.
• Coordinate care with schools, families and community partners.
• Manage caseload with timely, person-centered documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and outreach for missed appointments.
• Conduct home visits and community outreach as needed.
