Job summary

Brightli is seeking a School Based Support Specialist to deliver intensive outpatient case management for youth within school settings, coordinating care with schools and families to promote recovery, resilience, and academic achievement.

The role emphasizes individualized interventions, timely documentation, and collaboration across providers, with support extended to homes and community as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related human services field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of related behavioral health experience if BA is in an unrelated field.
• Four years of full-time qualifying experience in the field or a four-year combination of education and experience.
• IL Administrative Code requirements apply for IL-based work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive outpatient case management in school-based settings.
• Support students’ coping, social-emotional functioning, and daily life skills.
• Coordinate care with schools, families, and providers.
• Maintain timely, person-centered documentation and caseload management.
• Provide crisis intervention and follow-up for missed appointments.
• Conduct home visits/outreach to engage youth and families.
• Assist with QA, data collection and adherence to protocols.
• Engage in staff development, supervision, and performance reviews.
