Job summary

SASED is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver speech-language services to students with disabilities across SASED programs. You will help design communication systems to enable students to express needs and participate fully in class, working with the educational team to support IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, appropriate Illinois licensure, and ASHA CCC-SLP certification, with strong interpersonal skills and a valid IL driver's license.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed for SLP (teaching or non-teaching).
ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or CF progress).
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation license/temporary license as SLP.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide speech-language services to students with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
Collaborate with classroom teams to support IEP goals across the curriculum.
Develop communication systems for students to express needs and thoughts.
Maintain records and prepare reports for program planning and decision making.
