Job summary

The SASED Speech-Language Pathologist will provide speech-language services to students with disabilities in classroom settings and help design communication systems for real-world use. You will collaborate with the educational team to support IEP goals across the curriculum.

Responsibilities include assessing language skills, delivering therapy, maintaining records, and communicating with families and staff to ensure consistent, effective services throughout the school day.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License for SLP.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP or CF Process underway.
  • Illinois license or temporary license to practice.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and preparation to address local school speech-language goals.
  • Organizes a program to meet goals and objectives of the local education agency.
  • Coordinates speech-language services with other school personnel.
  • Maintains records and prepares periodic reports as required.
  • Develops appropriate IEPs based on students' needs.
  • Provides speech-language therapy to students.
  • Consults with parents, teachers and other school personnel.
