Job summary

The Northwestern Illinois Association in Illinois is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across 68 districts. This full-time role is 180 days per year with 7.5 hours per day, offering strong benefits and a pension plan.

You will deliver direct services, develop IEP-based plans, and collaborate with teachers and specialists to support communication development. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid Illinois PEL with SLP endorsement are required;

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Illinois School Board of Education Professional Educator's License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement is required.
  • Proficiency with school-based technology and office equipment (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students.
  • Deliver therapy and interventions to students in accordance with IEPs to address communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support students' speech and language development.
  • Maintain accurate records of services, assessments, and interventions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.

Education

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
