Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to cover maternity leaves in the Wheaton, IL area. Positions run from late Oct/early Nov through Dec 18, 2026 (middle and elementary schools) and Dec 2026 through May 2027 (high school).

You will deliver comprehensive speech-language services within a collaborative team and support IEP goals. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, direct therapy, documentation, and participation in IEP meetings.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.
  • PEL for working in school settings.
  • CCC preferred, but strong SLP-CFs encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups and caseloads.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapeutic services per IEPs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families.
  • Complete and update documentation and progress reports in a timely manner.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop student-centered treatment plans to achieve communication goals.
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations.

Job description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs during the upcoming school year. Two contract positions are available for Speech-Language Pathologists to provide dedicated coverage for maternity leaves in a vibrant educational setting near Wheaton, IL.

The first assignment begins in late October or early November and continues through December 18, 2026, working with students at one middle school and one elementary school. The second leave starts in December and runs through May 2027, focusing on high school students. Both opportunities are full‑time, allowing you to deliver comprehensive speech and language services as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Illinois
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) for working in school settings
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs) are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups and caseloads
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
