Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Illinois seeks a contract speech-language pathologist to support students during a maternity leave. This full-time assignment runs September 4, 2026 through December 11, 2026, at 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, serving elementary and middle school students in North Chicago.

Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in North Chicago by providing essential speech-language services during a maternity leave assignment. This full-time position runs from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Youll serve both elementary and middle school students, making a meaningful impact in a lively educational community.

Key Qualifications:
  • Active Illinois SLP license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience delivering speech-language services in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and implementing interventions for students with diverse communication needs
  • Exceptional collaborative and organizational abilities to work effectively with IEP teams
  • Ability to adapt to onsite-only requirements; remote or virtual services are not available for this role
Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct assessment and therapy to students in elementary and middle school
  • Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
  • Document progress and maintain records in compliance with state and school requirements
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor and report on student progress
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help all students reach their communication goals
