Job summary

Northwestern Illinois Association (NIA) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves providing direct speech and language services to students, primarily in elementary settings with some EC needs.

The SLP will collaborate with educators and staff to implement IEPs and deliver effective interventions. The role includes developing individualized education/treatment programs, maintaining records, and participating in IEP meetings, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Illinois PEL license or equivalent; eligibility for certification in another state considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language services to students as outlined in IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and specialists to support communication development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, assessments and progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
