Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract position supporting grades 5–8 near Chicago, IL. The role focuses on delivering SLP services with a manageable caseload of 15–20 students, primarily in upper elementary and middle school.

This maternity-leave assignment runs from 8/17/2026 to 11/27/2026, with about 32 hours weekly (3–4 days). On-site work only; CCC/CF accepted, IL licensure required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Illinois school-based licensure.
  • ASHA CCC or CF required or accepted on CF track.
  • Experience with K-8 student populations preferred.
  • Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate student needs and progress; maintain accurate records and data.

Job description

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students’ communication growth in an engaging school environment near Chicago, IL. This role focuses on providing speech-language pathology services primarily to 5th through 8th grade students, with a manageable caseload of just 15-20 students. The assignment covers a maternity leave and is set to begin on 8/17/2026, continuing through 11/27/2026.

Work approximately 32 hours per week—with a possible schedule of three to four days per week—offering added flexibility while remaining on-site (please note, virtual service is not available for this position). Both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows will be considered.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois licensure and credentials required for school-based SLPs
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) accepted
  • Experience working with K-8 student populations preferred
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
