DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT SERVICES Inc in Arlington, TX seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support students with speech, voice, or language disorders. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a current Texas license as an SLPA, and knowledge of federal guidelines and DAS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modifications and accommodations.
• Thorough knowledge of communication disorders including all areas of language, phonological processes, articulation, voice and fluency.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Practicum or previous employment in public school setting desired but not required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and provide Speech-Language Pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders.
• Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students’ ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.
• Implement, plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice or language disorders under the supervision of Speech Pathologist.
• Assist the Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in managing an existing caseload through involvement with campus evaluation teams, consultation with parents and teachers, assistance in development of IEPs.
• Provide skilled planned therapy based on IEP goals and objectives.
• Prepare clinical materials, monitor and support communication activities in the classroom.
• Document student performance and report to supervising SLP.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services.
• Follow all rules and policies of DAS and directives from superiors.
• Follow attendance policy as assigned by manager.
