This full-time professional role provides therapy planning, data collection, and IEP-driven services across district sites. Responsibilities include assisting with caseload management, preparing materials, coordinating with teachers and parents, and ensuring adherence to ASHA ethics and Texas guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modifications and accommodations.
• Thorough knowledge of communication disorders including language, phonology, articulation, voice and fluency.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Practicum or prior employment in a public school setting is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in managing an existing caseload through involvement with campus evaluation teams, parent/teacher consultation, and development of IEPs.
• Provide skilled planned therapy based on IEP goals and objectives developed by the supervising SLP.
• Prepare clinical materials, monitor and support communication activities in the classroom.
• Document student performance and report to the supervising SLP.
• Adhere to a daily schedule developed with the supervising SLP and maintain records.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services; follow DAS and state regulations.
