Job summary

DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT SERVICES Inc. in Waco, TX, is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support students with speech, language, or voice disorders.

You will plan and provide services, assess students, and implement therapeutic interventions under supervision. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in SLP and a Texas license as an SLPA, with strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Working knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, instructional and behavioral modifications and accommodations.
• Thorough knowledge of communication disorders including all areas of language, phonological processes, articulation, voice and fluency.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Practicum or previous employment in public school setting desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide Speech-Language Pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders.
• Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems affecting educational benefit.
• Implement, plan and provide speech-language pathology services under supervision of Speech Pathologist.
• Assist the Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in managing an existing caseload and IEPS.
• Prepare clinical materials and document student performance and records for supervising SLP.
• Follow district directives and policies; maintain accurate records and attend meetings.
