DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT SERVICES Inc in Dallas, Texas is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to plan and provide services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders under the supervision of a licensed SLP. This role focuses on assessment, intervention, and ongoing documentation in an educational setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and current Texas licensure as an SLPA.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
• Knowledge of federal laws, state guidelines and DAS policies.
• Thorough knowledge of communication disorders including all areas of language, phonological processes, articulation, voice and fluency.

Mansioni

• Assume responsibility for the organization and operation of work within the area of supporting students and staff working with special education students following federal program guidelines as directed by the district.
• Abide by the Code of Ethics of ASHA and Rules and Regulations set forth by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Texas TOC rules.
• Assist the Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in managing an existing caseload through involvement with the campus evaluation teams and development of IEPs.
• Provide skilled therapy based on IEP goals and objectives developed by the supervising SLP.
• Prepare clinical materials and monitor communication activities in the classroom.
• Document student performance and report to the supervising SLP.
• Maintain schedules and accurate records; attend meetings and in-services.
• Follow DAS policies and directives; adhere to attendance policies.
