DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT SERVICES Inc in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full Time Professional Speech-Language Pathologist to plan and provide therapy for students with speech, voice, or language disorders. You will assess students, implement IEP goals, and collaborate with ARD committees to guide placement and progress.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and Texas licensure. CFYs welcomed; travel within the district may be required, with a strong focus on communication skills

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SBESLPA).
  • Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders.
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • One year supervised clinical SLP experience; CFY’s considered.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students per IEP goals.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
  • Conduct individual evaluations to assess eligibility for services.
  • Develop management strategies and diagnostic statements from observations/data.
  • Participate in ARD to interpret assessment data and set goals.
  • Counsel and involve parents; collaborate with teachers to improve skills.
  • Provide professional development to school staff on communication deficits.
  • May supervise SLPA(s) or speech aide(s) and manage reporting.
  • Compile and maintain required reports and comply with district policies.
