Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) paraeducator to implement individualized ABA-based interventions and support students in meeting IEP goals. You will work under the direct supervision of a special education teacher and clinically supervised BCBA to assist students individually or in small groups.

The role requires data collection, entry into school data systems, and collaboration with staff to adapt strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
• Two+ years under BCBA supervision with RBT certification.
• Experience with students with high management needs.
• Crisis prevention and restraint training provided by the district.
• Background check and fingerprinting completed.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized interventions and ABA-based strategies per IEP goals.
• Accurately collect and record data on student progress.
• Assist in general education and special education settings.
• Support communication with teachers, BCBA and staff.
• Maintain student safety and confidentiality at all times.
• Conduct data reviews and report trends to the Department of Specialized Learning.
