Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools seeks an RBT paraeducator to implement individualized interventions under BCBA supervision. You will work with students to meet IEP goals using ABA-based strategies and data collection.

The role involves collaborating with teachers, supporting inclusion in classrooms, and maintaining precise records in the district data system to monitor progress throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; alternative is High School Diploma with ParaPro
• 2+ years under BCBA supervision and RBT certification
• Experience working with students with high management needs
• Willingness to participate in district-provided professional development
• Background check and fingerprinting completed

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP goals and ABA interventions
• Record and monitor data per IEP/Behavior Intervention Plan
• Enter data into the district's electronic data collection system
• Review data trends and report progress to the Department of Specialized Learning
• Support students with disabilities in general and special education settings
• Facilitate student interaction and promote independence per IEP
