Job summary

Conway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with behavioral needs across multiple sites. The position involves implementing ABA-based interventions, collecting progress data, and collaborating with school staff under BCBA supervision.

The candidate will assist in creating and adapting tasks and materials, participate in crisis intervention as needed, and work within a 185-day contract framework with district policies guiding evaluations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Obtain (within 6 months) or maintain current RBT or BCABA certification issued by BACB.
• Complete district-provided crisis intervention training.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with math, reading, and writing in a K-12 setting preferred.
• Significant experience with students having problem behaviors including autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply basic Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles in classroom settings as directed.
• Effectively communicate with team members.
• Provide direct skills instruction using behavior reduction protocols based on ABA.
• Assist with implementing and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide modeling and training to teachers and paraprofessionals on BIPs and interventions.
• Assist with observations and data collection for assessments and tiered interventions as directed by a BCBA.
• Collect and monitor ongoing behavior data.
• Implement and promote positive behavior support systems throughout the district.
